- A tenor in operas, and solo performances
- Featured as the "Wand'ring Minstrel" on KPOJ Radio in the 1950s
- Private voice coach and taught music at Lieser Elementary, Lewis Junior High School, Fort Vancouver High School and at David Douglas High School in Portland until retiring in 1975
- Founded and led several choral groups, including the Brahms Singers
